  • Out of the snowy lawn
    The snowman grew
    Wearing a hat and scarf
    The way that you do

    With pebbles for eyes
    pressed into the snow
    A smiley twig mouth
    And a large carrot nose

    He’s a magnificent site
    The snowman that grew
But he’s just snow and ice
    And no substitute for you
    I wish you were here
    To chase the blues away
    I wish you’d come back
    To me for Christmas day
  • The Old Year's gone away
    To nothingness and night:
We cannot find him all the day
Nor hear him in the night:
He left no footstep, mark or place
    In either shade or sun:
    The last year he'd a neighbour's face,
In this he's known as none.

    All nothing everywhere:
    Mists we on mornings see
Have more substance when they're here
And more of form than he.
He was a friend by every fire,
In every cot and hall -
A guest to every heart's desire,
And now he's nought at all.

    Old papers thrown away,
    Old garments cast aside,
    The talk of yesterday,
    All things identified;
    But times once torn away
    No voices can recall:
The eve of New Year's Day
Left the Old Year lost to all.
  • If Santa was a (Techie)
He'd suss out there's no way
    To visit 100 million homes
    In a reindeer powered sleigh
    He'd use the latest technology
    To get his deliveries done
In time to have a pint or two
And a bit of Christmas fun
The reindeers would be his pit stop crew
    He'd drive a Benetton
And all Summer long he'd make extra dosh
    Winning Formula One
  • Are those bells jingling on top of your roof?
    I believe they are.
Then take the time to enjoy
The beautiful sound of peace and joy
    Ringing around the Earth.
    Forget the work
    Forget your fears
This day comes just once a year.
    Enjoy the Jingle Bells!
  • The weather is not how we want it to be.
    The sky is all dark
    And filled with unfriendly clouds.
    But that’s outside.

Inside, the house is warm and toasty
As we gather around the tree,
    Holding hands and singing carols
    Making our own bright Summer.
    It’s the Power of Christmas.

  • I made myself a snowball,
    As perfect as could be,
I thought I'd keep it as a pet,
And let it sleep with me.
  • I made it some pajamas,
And a pillow for its head,
Then last night it ran away,
But first - it wet the bed!
  • I went to the pub with my brother
    For a Christmas, lunchtime drink
While my wife cooked the dinner
And washed up at the sink
We got thrown out at 4 o'clock
Full of Christmas cheer and gin
We got home ready for Christmas lunch
And found it in the bin.

  • The tempting gifts are tantalizing;
About opening them, we are fantasizing.
    The holiday foods are appetizing;
    Our excitement and joy are growing and rising;
    Our hearts and minds are harmonizing;
    Jolly Christmas fun we're maximizing!

  • Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf. The good you do for others is good you do yourself.

  • I came home today to a horrible sight
All the doors and windows were smashed in
    And inside, everything was gone
    They had taken absolutely everything
I felt so violated so degraded
How could something like this occur?
What sort of sick person does that?
    To someone's Advent calendar

  • Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf. The good you do for others is good you do yourself. (Source: http://www.christmas-poem.info/ )

  • I laugh a lot,
    I can never stop.
    That's just,
    that;s who I am.
    I can't go a day
    or even an hour
    without laughing
    or giggling.
    My friends all
    know it.
    But even if I've
    had the worst day.

For a holiday full of pleasure,
    Friends and family all around,
    And memories to treasure.

  • I heard the bells, on Christmas Day,
    Their old, familiar carols play,

    And wild and sweet
    The words repeat.
  • It's Christmas Eve, time for bed.
But not an eye will close.
Too much excitement in the air,
    To let you even doze.
  • May the meaning of Christmas
    be deeper, its friendships stronger,
    and its hopes brighter
    as it comes to you
    this year.
  • Christmas is full of shiny things
    That sparkle, gleam and glow;
    These holiday pleasures dazzle us,
And yet, deep down, we know...

That Christmas has its special gifts,
    But our year-round joy depends
On the cherished people in our lives,
    Our family and our friends.
  • Tis the season of happiness and delight,
Tis the season to sing and dance with all your might.
Tis the season to share not just your belongings, but also love,
Tis the season to thank God Almighty for sending us Baby Jesus from above.
    Have a Blessed Christmas!
